Spice Girls star Geri Halliwell in mourning:

Geri Halliwell (49), perhaps just as well known under the artist name «Ginger Spice», became seriously world famous as a member of the girl group Spice Girls in the 90’s.

When the group disbanded in 1998, one person in particular stood by her side as an important supporter – her brother Max Halliwell (54). Among other things, the siblings went to Paris only shortly after to get a break from the spotlight.

On Wednesday last week, she received the devastating news that her big brother had been found dead.

– A difficult time

Last week, the 49-year-old was in Qatar, where she was with her husband Christian Horner (49). He is the team manager for the Formula 1 team Red Bull Racing, and has, among other things, been seen in three seasons of the Netflix success “F1: Drive to Survive”.

However, the trip ended abruptly, when she received the message that Max had passed away after he collapsed in his own home. He turned 54 years old.

The 49-year-old’s spokesperson tells The Sun that the family wants peace.

– As you can imagine, this is a difficult time, and we want to ask for respect for the family’s privacy in the future.

The pop star has not yet commented on the death.

Police were called in in the morning hours on Wednesday 17 November to do a welfare check in a home in Berkhamsted, the police in Hertfordshire state in a statement.

They add that the man was found and immediately transported to the hospital for treatment, but that his life could not be saved. The police have no suspicion that anything criminal has happened.
