The largest folk festival in the Main-Spessart district began on Friday evening on the Mainlände in Lohr. The Spessart Festival Week can now be celebrated for a good week.
Mayor Mario Paul needed 2 hits and a “safety hit”, then the first keg of festival beer was punctured. Incidentally, the beer costs 10 euros 40 this year. The procession had traditionally moved to the Mainland beforehand. In addition to the marquee, visitors can also have fun on the fairground with 13 rides and booths.
The “Festwochen Express” will be on the road again this year so that nobody has to drive after enjoying a beer or two. A shuttle bus, which takes guests from the region to the Spessart Festival Week on a total of 14 routes and drives them home safely.
