Spessart Festival Week in Lohr 2021: Attendance Reaches Pre-Corona Level Despite Rain, Police Busy with Arguments and Property Damage

On Sunday it ended with fireworks, on Monday those responsible took stock of this year’s Spessart Festival Week in Lohr.

The result: Despite the rainy weather, the festival week was well attended. Those responsible even assume that they have reached the pre-corona level.

The final figures are not yet available. In 2019, however, 100,000 visitors came to Lohr to celebrate.

However, the police were also busy at this time. This year, there were numerous arguments, fights and property damage around the festival week.

The dismantling of the festival area started today, but due to the rain of the past few days, the parking lot at the boat harbor is temporarily closed because the ground has become very soft.

According to the city, the northern part of the Mainlände will be available again for cars in the next few days.

Meanwhile, in the Main-Spessart district, preparations are underway for the next folk festival – the Laurenzi Fair in Marktheidenfeld begins on Friday.
