A disaster has hit the region of GOMA, in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
On May 22, 2021, the population of the GOMA region was hit by the eruption of the Nyiragongo volcano.
As the lava invaded populated areas, thousands of families are now homeless and out of resources after fleeing the danger.

As the Congolese community of Metropolitan Washington – CCWM, registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we must unite our efforts to help our brothers and sisters who have lost everything following this unfortunate event.
