Speltips Newcastle – Luton 03/02

Luton Town are doing well.
Especially at home on tight Kenilworth Road. There they have played home most of their 19 points.
They were extremely effective in front of the home fans this week, leading 2-0 before the match clock showed three minutes. In the end, Brighton were beaten back 4–0.
Impressive, of course.
But Brighton are uneven and couldn’t cope with the physical battle at Kenilworth Road.

This match at St. James’ Park will be completely different. Because the “Magpies” with an awfully nice back line with Trippier-Schär-Botman-Burn don’t seem to give a millimeter away now. And with Newcastle’s defensive stars now all injury-free, you are very difficult to score on.
Further down the court, players like Bruno Guimarães and above all Anthony Gordon have found form and are looking brilliant.
The downside?
That Alexander Isak had to step off last time against Aston Villa and is doubtful here, but in his place came Miguel Almirón (back from injury) and did well.
So, despite all the injuries, Newcastle have a fine central line, with a lot of edge forward.”The Magpies” are also coming off two strong away wins; 2-0 against Fulham (FA Cup) and then this week they beat top team Aston Villa 3-1 in Birmingham.
These are strong papers.

Luton may well come packed to St. James’ Park and ride a classic “reaction”. It wouldn’t surprise me at all…
3–1?
My bet is Newcastle -1.5 goals until 2.15.
