Latvians will not cause problems for him when a player receives an offer from a much richer club and a chance to develop among the best speedway riders in the world. Especially if Lokomotiv … will relegate to the 2nd league this season. It is more and more possible, because three rounds before the end of the games, Latvians have only one point advantage over the last Abramczyk Polonia Bydgoszcz.
Five points in eleven matches and a win against the Polish diaspora put them in such a comfortable situation that in the next three matches they can score a point less than the Bydgoszcz players, and they will be safe anyway.
Lokomotiv’s schedule is as follows:
- Arged Malesa TŻ Ostrovia Ostrów (home), (first match 49:41 for Ostrovia)
- Zdunek Wybrzeże Gdańsk (away), (first match 40:50 for Wybrzeże)
- Orzeł Łódź (home), (first match 57:33 for Orzeł)
By analyzing these meetings, it can be assumed that with Ostrovia Ostrów they will save at least two “eyes” on their account. There can be even more of these points, because the good result in Ostrów allows you to realistically think about the bonus, especially since Mariusz Staszewski’s players have been without an away win since April last year.
The situation of Abramczyk Polonia Bydgoszcz is much worse. Jerzy Chancellor’s players, with only two wins and four points, are in the last place in the table, and their ride certainly does not give the fans much hope. Grzegorz Zengota is to join the team in the next match, but this does not guarantee maintenance.
Here are the closest opponents of the Polish community:
- Unia Tarnów (home), (first match 53:37 for Unia)
- Orzeł Łódź (away), (first match 47:43 for the Polish diaspora)
- Arged Malesa TŻ Ostrovia Ostrów (home), (first match 53:37 for Ostrovia).
Looking at the form of Polonia speedway riders, scoring even four points in these three meetings would be considered a success. If such a scenario were to work out, for Polonia to stay in the eWinner 1st league, Lokomotiv could score just three points. Any other solution means that the inhabitants of Bydgoszcz would have to do something “extra”. Something like that would be gaining bonus points in the clashes with Unia and with Ostrovia, because it is rather difficult to dream about winning in Łódź or even about getting a bonus. Then the Polish community abroad would have ended the season with ten eyes.
If these discussions, very optimistic for Abramczyk Polonii, were successful, the Latvians would need five points to maintain, that is to do more than win without bonuses with Ostrovia and the Eagle. However, looking coldly at the situation of both teams, it is really difficult to believe that the Chancellor’s players will defend the first league.
Over the course of the season, Lokomotiv performed much better and only a sudden drop in form and the waking up of the players from the Bydgoszcz team could deprive him of his support.
