For safety reasons: Speed limit 60 on Badenerstrasse due to road closure
Kirchrainstrasse in Eggenwil will be renovated over a period of around two and a half months. Construction work will start on October 14th and will require a total closure. This also has certain effects on Badenerstrasse.
The Eggenwiler Kirchrainstrasse below the church connects the upper and lower villages of the community. Or the Reuss plain with Badenerstrasse. However, it is in serious need of renovation and also needs a slight widening. This requires a new concrete retaining wall over a length of 44 meters on the side of the embankment, and the existing guardrail will be extended.
Last winter, Eggenwiler Gmeind approved a loan of 1.36 million francs for the expansion and renovation of Kirchrainstrasse. The building permit was granted in the summer. “After the clearing work along Kirchrainstrasse and the granting of additional permits for the provisional diversion of truck traffic across the Reuss plain towards Bremgarten, the implementation of the project can now begin,” the municipality said.

Speed on Badenerstrasse is limited to 60 km/h
A total closure of Kirchrainstrasse is necessary during construction work in the curve area. From Monday, October 14th, until the end of December, the road will be closed to all road users. “During this time, traffic will be redirected. Pedestrians can get to the Reuss plain from Kirchrainstrasse via the stairs near the church or from Planterfeldstrasse via Hübelgasse,” it says.

The local council has granted a special permit for authorized trucks that are routed via the dirt road near the Planterbach to Badenerstrasse. The corridor path will be gravelled and the surface at the turn into the cantonal road will be added. That provisional entrance/exit onto Badenerstrasse would be in the out-of-town area with a maximum speed of 80 km/h. During the construction period, the speed will now be temporarily limited to 60 km/h between the end of Eggenwil and “Guggi’s Märt” on Badenerstrasse.
At this point, the junction from the dirt road into Badenerstrasse will be temporarily adjusted and the speed limit will temporarily be 60.
