Borussia Mönchengladbach is playing a mostly disappointing season. It will be worked on after the season. There is already speculation about possible coach successors.
Under the impression of the lack of a clear commitment to coach Daniel Farke for the coming season, public speculation is increasing about a possible successor to the 46-year-old at Borussia Mönchengladbach.
According to “Bild”, three names are being discussed as possible new coaches in the Bundesliga from summer: Gladbach’s U23 coach Eugen Polanski, former Leipzig coach Ralph Hasenhüttl and former Leverkusen coach Gerardo Seoane.
Gladbach’s sports director Roland Virkus announced in the “Rheinische Post” on Monday that he would take a detailed look at the current season. “We’ll sit down and analyze everything, including the coach, of course. From the results of this analysis we will draw our conclusions. It’s not just about the coach, it’s about everything,” said Virkus.
No premature separation
An immediate separation after the 2:5 defeat at Borussia Dortmund on Saturday and before the last two games of the season at Bayer Leverkusen and against FC Augsburg is not an issue. “We now want to finish the season with this coach. There is no question that we will be parting ways with Daniel Farke in the next two weeks,” Virkus said.
Farke was only signed at the start of the season and has a contract until June 30, 2025. With 39 points, Borussia is eleventh in the table.
