The rumor mill is in full swing. Many major European festivals early in the season have already announced the first headliners. But where are the headliners of Pinkpop 2024? Before the big word is out, we will once again list the biggest contenders for you.
Limburg’s Pinkpop presents huge names every year. For three days you will see the biggest headliners from the pop and rock worlds here. It is therefore not surprising that there is again a lot of speculation about the next edition. This is an up-to-date overview of the biggest rumors.

Dua Lipa
With a new album on the way and many big plans, Dua Lipa is a name to keep an eye on for the upcoming festival summer. The pop star already gave an unforgettable show at Sziget 2022, but has never headlined in the Netherlands. With a rapidly growing portfolio of monster hits, it may not last long. Especially now that the neighbors of Rock Werchter 2024 have confirmed her headliner status. Dua would not be out of place as the big pop name of Pinkpop 2024.
Ed Sheeran
With his current record, it seemed almost impossible to ever see Ed Sheeran at a festival again. Yet the immensely popular singer has now been confirmed for festivals in Germany, among others. In the same weekend as Pinkpop. And so the road to Landgraaf is completely open. Sheeran had only performed there once before, exactly ten years earlier in 2014. With a now more extensive stock of hits, a strong production and more stage experience, we would like to see the sympathetic hit machine again as one of the headliners of Pinkpop 2024.
Ten days. The gap is so big that Metallica was still on the show in mid-June touragenda has, between two Scandinavian concerts. This offers more than enough space for a pit stop in Landgraaf. It would be a quick reunion for the metal legends at Pinkpop: they gave another strong show in 2022. In any case, we know for sure that the band has to announce two more shows for the summer of 2024. Whether Pinkpop is one of the lucky ones remains to be seen.

Pearl Jam
Unlike many other acts on this list, Pearl Jam has no live shows planned for 2024 yet. We do know that a new LP will probably be released in the spring. For many artists, that is the first sign that concerts are coming. Eddie Vedder and co. have a special bond with Pinkpop since they first performed there in 1992. If they indeed decide to support the new record with a tour, a show at the Limburg festival is automatically a possibility.
Moonlight
The last time Måneskin performed at Pinkpop, it was as the ‘support act’ for the latter Pearl Jam. In just two years, the Eurovision Song Contest winners have quickly outgrown the label of sub-headliner, at least if their popularity is anything to go by. But that sentiment also seems to be there from within the industry: Rock Werchter recently confirmed the Italian band as headliner. It could therefore be that the Pinkpop organization will soon award Måneskin with the same title.
Madonna
Who better to close the largest pop festival in the Netherlands? the Queen of Pop? Madonna has just started her immense Celebration Tour, in which she performs all the highlights from her impressive oeuvre during three-hour concerts. Sounds like a good recipe for a headline show at Pinkpop. Her tour agenda currently ends at the end of April 2024, just before the festival summer. The Glastonbury bookies see Madonna as a no-brainer for the next edition of the British festival. Director Emily Eavis has denied these rumors so far, but what isn’t may yet come.

The Cure
Where is that long-awaited new album from The Cure? At the time of writing there is still no news about this Songs of a Lost World, but it’s really coming, if we can believe frontman Robert Smith. Either way, The Cure is always a welcome guest on the festival stages and the history with Pinkpop goes back a long way, so they are certainly welcome. The group currently has eight shows in South America. After a European indoor tour in 2022 and the work ethic of the British, it does not seem inconceivable to us that The Cure will tour the festivals in 2024. A great moment for a warm reunion at Pinkpop 2024.

Foo Fighters
With this name we must note that the tour dates in the United Kingdom have significantly reduced the chances. But the world is still full of wonders, especially when it comes to Foo Fighters. The rockers are back with the album after the tragic death of drummer Taylor Hawkins But Here We Are, and the band wants to prove that too. During a surprise set at Glastonbury 2023, frontman Dave Grohl already confirmed ‘A Whole Fucking Tour’ for 2024 and it will also visit European festivals, such as Rock Werchter. Will we see the Foos return to Landgraaf as one of the headliners of Pinkpop 2024?
