Today, at 2:00 p.m., in the auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the National University of Asunción (Facso), the first date of the spectator training program takes place with the workshop Tools for the preparation of theater reviews from critical social thought, which will have the participation of international and local figures. With free and limited seats, the proposal, which will take place every Saturday this month, has certification included.
The initiative will have the participation of the intellectual Jorge Dubatti, an academic from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), as well as Laura Marín, coordinator of the workshop. There will be a team made up of the artists Wilton Vuyk, Jorge Leguizamón and university students, under the coordination of Lorenzo Duarte, who will be in charge of the artistic interventions.
Reflection. The proposal seeks to generate a space for reflection around theater from an ethical, political perspective and linked to the social sciences and their objects of study, such as the historical and social reality and the modification caused by the theoretical and practical activity of man. In this way, the theatrical scene is located as a medium in which social situations and conditions of existence are made visible.
“The theater, an event of living culture that emerges from the neoliberal context, offers us the possibility of problematizing, corroding and destabilizing the status quo, the norm and common sense”, indicates the invitation to the event that will have other dates, the next Saturdays September 9, 16 and 23, at the same time.
