Game photographer Jan Lars Nesje has seven or eight game cameras in the mountains in Stryn.
From time to time he lays bait, hoping to catch an eagle on camera.
At the end of March, everything clapped.
Nesje had laid out a dead fox as bait, hoping that the eagle would come and take it. The cameras react to movement, and when he opened the pictures, he could hardly believe his own eyes, he tells Dagbladet.
– What do I do now? How do I relate to this, Nesje says that he thought while staring at the screen.
The experienced nature photographer says that even though the golden eagle is smaller than the sea eagle, it can carry heavier, since it has a smaller body in relation to the wingspan.
– The fox is heavy in itself, but with the strong wind in addition, it becomes even heavier, Nesje tells Dagbladet.
