Spectacular edition of the BMW M2

BMWs Sports department, M GmbH, has now presented a new cooperation: a multi-stage project with the contemporary artist Futura 2000, The collaboration begins at the Frieze Los Angeles 2020 art fair (February 13-16). Here are three exclusive pieces of the M2 Competition to be seen designed by the artist known for his colors and concentric shapes. In addition, Futura 2000 is also designing a limited edition of the compact sports coupé, which will be launched in June 2020.

The three unique pieces of M2 by FUTURA 2000 the artist will completely redesign both outside and inside. The limited series copies (see photos) also bear his signature. The decorative strips on the instrument panel and the center console have a special design that is individual for each vehicle. The two-tone M sport seats with leather Dakota in black and ivory white have contrasting stitching in polar blue. In addition, an M sports steering wheel with Alcantara cover and gray 12 o’clock marking as well as special door sills with the running edition number of the limited edition and a Futura signature belong to the interior package.

M2 is the most successful M model

The M2 Competition is a successful model for M GmbH. The rear-wheel-drive compact class, which is powered by a double-charged six-cylinder in-line engine with 410 hp, was the best-selling BMW M vehicle in 2019. The limited edition is coming this year M2 CS on the market. This makes a whopping 450 hp and costs over 100,000 euros in Austria. The Munich company has not yet revealed how much the Futura 2000 edition will cost.
