Footage of the brutal arrest of his son Ivan was spread last night by the mayor of Panagyurishte Nikola Belishki.
The mayor of Panagyurishte told 24 Chassa that his son Ivan Belishki was arrested in a village in Kyustendil on April 26 by three civilian police officers on an anonymous signal. They did not present an arrest warrant and said it was urgent.
At that time Ivan Belishki was visiting with his wife Gabriela her relatives in the village of Kyustendil. The footage shows two civilian police officers pressing Ivan Belishki’s head into the asphalt, holding him by the neck and pressing him with their bodies.
There was a real danger that the 22-year-old man would die of suffocation, commented the footage. They were filmed by his wife.
Ivan Belishki is currently in custody in Kyustendil on charges of inflicting light bodily harm on police officers, his father Nikola Belishki said.
The young man became famous when the Russian flag was burned at the first march in Sofia in support of the people of Ukraine.
A year ago, he was detained after he smashed three cars and a shop window in the center of Panagyurishte with his jeep at 2 am, abandoned him and fled. The next day, however, he was led by his father to surrender. He was released on BGN 10,000 bail.
