Specifications of Xiaomi’s New Handset with Snapdragon 870 Have Leaked

Xiaomi is one of the Original Equipment Manufacturers aka OEMs that has been quick this year to introduce several smartphones it has developed. However, it would be naive to expect them not to introduce new smartphones until 2021 is over.

Not a few have speculated that Xiaomi will launch at least five smartphones until December 2021. The latest leak reveals that Xiaomi is said to be launching a new smartphone powered by Snapdragon 870 soon.

Snapdragon 870 itself is a popular chipset which has been adopted by several smartphone manufacturers for use in not only smartphones but tablets as well. Xiaomi itself has announced three devices (excluding those from its subsidiaries) powered by this chipset, namely Mi 10S, Mi 11X, and Mi Pad 5 Pro.

Now, the fourth will be announced according to Weibo user @Bald Panda. It is said that this smartphone will not only be powered by Snapdragon 870, but will also have a curved screen with a punch-hole and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

Although not mentioning the name of the handset, @Bald Panda wrote that the screen of the smartphone will have a FullHD + resolution, not 2K as some of Xiaomi’s latest flagships have. For the camera, there will be a 20 MP sensor in the punch-hole while the main camera on the back will have a 108 MP sensor.

@Bald Panda also mentioned that it’s possible the device has a telephoto camera carrying 3x optical zoom, but he’s not so sure. Other support concerns the power supply, and it is said that the handset will be equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.

So, when will the smartphone be launched? Regarding this @Bald Panda also did not say when the smartphone will be launched. However, not a few believe that details about the smartphone will emerge in the weeks leading up to its launch. Let’s just wait!
