Motorola is expected to come soon with the successors of the high-end Motorola Edge and Edge Plus. A lot of details of the Motorola Edge 20 series have now been leaked. It is noticeable that the smartphones do not get an edge screen.
Specifications and images have been leaked by MySmartPrice. The most striking thing is that the two successors, unlike the original Motorola Edge, do not get an ‘edge screen’. This is remarkable, since the devices do carry the Edge name.
According to the source, the Motorola Edge 20 will have a 6.67-inch screen, 6GB, 8GB or 12GB of RAM, a 3,760 mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner in the power button. On the back we see a triple camera, but details about this camera are still missing. We also expect a Snapdragon 778G processor internally. The Edge 20 runs on Android 11.
The Motorola Edge 20 Plus is a more powerful and more expensive variant. The Edge 20 Plus gets a slightly more powerful Snapdragon 870 processor and a quadruple camera. Presumably this camera can zoom in further. The battery with a capacity of 4230 mAh is also slightly larger. We also expect that both devices have a 120Hz refresh rate.
According to the rumors, Motorola will already present the Edge 20 series at the end of July. The devices will probably also appear on the market in Europe, but it is still unclear whether the Netherlands and Belgium are included.
