Fifteen years after her departure from the “New York Criminal Section” series, Annabella Sciorra, the interpreter of Inspector Carolyn Barek, will reprise her role in an upcoming episode of season 22 of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”. “.
Detective Carolyn Barek will make her comeback in the Law & Order franchise, nearly 15 years after her last appearance in the New York Criminal Section. According to TVLine, Annabella Sciorra will reprise her role for Special Victims Unit season 22, currently airing in the United States on NBC.
Annabella Sciorra, seen in Copland and in the series The Sopranos, had joined New York Criminal Section, a spin-off of Law & Order (New York Police Judiciaire) carried by Vincent D’Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe, at the start of season 5, in 2005. She lent her features to Carolyn Barek and then teamed up with Inspector Mike Logan, played by Chris Noth (Sex & the City). But her participation in the adventure had been rather brief since she had ended up leaving the series at the end of this fifth salvo, after only 12 episodes, and had then been “replaced” by Julianne Nicholson. Fans of the cult franchise have certainly not forgotten her, however, and one of Special Unit’s next unreleased releases, scheduled for release across the Atlantic in February, will finally give them news of the character.
