Special TV program Blick: “Fridays for Future”

Every Friday, schoolchildren worldwide go on strike for their future. The movement is called “Fridays for Future” and was launched by the Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg.

To set an example, the 17-year-old no longer went to school on Fridays and instead sat in front of the Stockholm Parliament. She was holding a famous sign. It read: School strike for the climate. Because for Greta there is no point in school learning something for later when there will be no more planets in the future.

Schoolchildren also took to the streets in Switzerland. Climate youth demands that politics and business start protecting the planet instead of destroying it. Two of them, Annik Färber and Mattia de Luca, are guests at Blick TV.
