The 18-year-old Barcelona player took a 2-week special leave from the club after a very tiring season for him.
With the start of the last season, Pedri, who played 73 matches in Barcelona in La Liga, King’s Cup, Champions League, Super Cup, Spain National Team, EURO 2020 and Tokyo Olympics, played in the first week of the new season without a vacation.
Barcelona coach Ronaldo Koeman said in a statement that they gave Pedri a special leave and said, “We talked to Pedri after a very tiring season. He will take a 2-week special leave, which we think will be good for him, separately from the team. He deserved it very much.”
Pedri, who is likened to Andres Iniesta with his playing style, took the title of the player who played the most in a season.
