Die MSC Fantasia was built in the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard, put into service in 2008 and renovated in 2015. It is 38 meters wide, 333 meters long, has 18 decks and can accommodate almost 3,500 passengers and 1,400 crew members.
It has 2 main restaurants and a buffet restaurant. The “Galaxy” with its interesting Asian fusion cuisine is highly recommended as a restaurant that is subject to a surcharge, because here you not only have a fantastic view over the ship and the surrounding area, but also good food. There are also 12 bars and lounges.
In addition to the spa and fitness area and all kinds of cultural and leisure activities, there is also a water slide (120 meters long) on the chimney.
A casino, movie theater, basketball court, tennis court, outdoor jogging track and bowling alley, and four pools (one indoor) offer a variety of recreational activities.
On-board language is English (on routes with many German guests, German-speaking employees are on board, who can be recognized by a German flag on the name plate), the currency on the ship is the euro.
