Special news 4/9/2024 | Radio Sefarad

NEWS WITH COMMENTARY TO TWO – Today the daily review of Pascal Roy From Jerusalem revolves around internal tensions in Israeli society, rather than the evolution of the war on all fronts: Gaza, Lebanon, West Banketc. And, without a doubt, the focus of these last hours is on the speech to the nation of Netanyahu on Monday afternoon (in the image), in which, after apologizing to the relatives of the murdered hostages discovered in the last few hours, for not having been able to prevent it, he again insisted on the objectives that Israel must continue to pursue: the release of the hostages, behead Hamas leadership in Gaza and destroy its offensive capacity, to which was added the return as soon as possible of the tens of thousands of displaced citizens from the towns in the north of the country following the incessant attacks by Hezbollah from Lebanon. The main point for which the Israeli government faces pressure from the US and Egypt is the lack of confidence in the various foreign governments of the latter country which, since the “disengagement” in 2005 from the Gaza Strip and the withdrawal of the Philadelphia Corridor that runs along the border of the enclave with Egypthas allowed the passage of huge quantities of weapons and materials for the construction of tunnels by terrorists. Therefore, says the Prime Minister, Israel has no reliable diplomatic support and can only rely on itself for its existence.
