The Scottish Railways had to deal with a very special ‘found object’ yesterday. An escaped monkey hung around Cambuslang station, south-east Glasgow.
After passengers warned ScotRail about the animal, the rail company posted a call on Twitter. “For the past ten years I’ve come across lost phones, handbags and glasses, but this is the very first for me! If you’ve lost your monkey… he’s waiting for the next train from Cambuslang to the city.”
The railway company asked people if they knew where the monkey came from, after which someone responded with a name and address of the possible owner. An hour after the first message, ScotRail wrote that the animal had already been reunited with its family.
