Special Education Teacher Reinstated after Allegations of Abuse: Gyeonggi-do Education Office Responds

A special education teacher who was dismissed from his position after being reported for abusing the son of webtoon writer Joo Ho-min is reinstated.

Tae-hee Lim, Superintendent of Education of Gyeonggi-do, announced this on his SNS today (31) and emphasized that ″Now, the Office of Education will respond at the institutional level so that teachers no longer respond alone.

Superintendent Lim said, “If you are removed from your position just because you requested a formal trial at the stage of clarifying the truth of the case, teachers who are working on special education with a sense of duty in the field will be greatly hurt, and other special children and parents will be greatly harmed. He added that ″More than 80 petitions from parents and teachers seeking leniency for the accused special education teacher were submitted to the court.″

He added, “From now on, the Office of Education will not indiscriminately remove teachers from their positions until the truth is clearly identified.”
