Special education teacher A is on trial after being charged with abusing the children of webtoon writer Joo Ho-min.
At the time of the incident in September of last year, the remarks made by Mr. A to Mr. Joo’s 9-year-old son were revealed.
According to Mr. A’s arraignment submitted by the Ministry of Justice to the Office of Representative Yoo Sang-beom, Mr. A said, “It’s really hateful, what the hell is going on in your head?”
He continued, “I don’t know why you are here, I don’t know why you can’t see your friends’ faces.” He said, “Do you want to go to your friends, you can’t go, your habit is very bad.”
Mr. A was also investigated as saying ″I don’t like it, I hate you, I hate you too, I really hate it″ and ″I don’t know why you can’t even eat lunch at school, I can’t meet friends.″
It seems that these remarks were recorded through a recorder that Ho-min Joo and his wife put in their son’s bag.
The prosecution wrote that ″Mr. A inflicted emotional abuse that harmed the mental health and development of a disabled child,″ but did not specify the background of Mr. A’s remarks to the state military.
Regarding this, Mr. A’s lawyer refuted, saying, “I didn’t talk like pouring out like it was in the indictment.”
″The context, such as Mr. A’s self-talk, back-and-forth remarks, and Joo-gun’s answer, was edited.”
The lawyer argued that remarks such as ″You really hate me″ were muttered to herself with a sigh when the main army could not concentrate, and that there was an action to induce concentration by hitting the desk after the remark ″What is in your head?″, but it was not recorded.
Also, repeating the word “I don’t like it” didn’t mean that the child didn’t like it, but meant something like “I don’t like it if you do this” or “I hate reading it wrong.” explained that he lost.
Mr. A, who was removed from his position with the indictment, was reinstated as of yesterday, and the next trial will be held at the Suwon District Court on the 28th.
