KOMPAS.com – Ansan Greeners coach, Cho Min-kook, advised that Shin Tae-yong guard Asnawi Mangkualam in the Indonesian national team.
Asnawi Mangkualam became one of the stars in success Indonesian National team qualified for the 2020 AFF Cup final.
After completing his duties in the Garuda squad, Asnawi has now returned to South Korea to defend himself Ansan Greeners in the South Korean League competition, K-League 2.

In the interview, Cho Min-kook revealed his plans to play Asnawi as a striker in the 2022 season.
The 58-year-old coach thinks Asnawi has good attacking abilities.
In addition, the coach also had other reasons that he wanted to change Asnawi’s position from defense to attack.
Cho Min-kook admitted that he felt sorry for Aswani because he had language problems while playing in defense.
According to Cho Min-kook, players in defense need extra communication, while Asnawi still has difficulty speaking Korean.
In addition to the plan to change Asnawi’s position, Cho Min-kook also gave a message to Shin Tae-yong to take care of Asnawi while playing for the Indonesian national team.
Cho Min-kook jokes that the 51-year-old coach must return the favor because he is currently training Shin Tae-yong’s second son, Shin Jae-hyuk.
“Shin Tae-yong, my son, is a hostage here. I’ve been giving him lately private lesson for Shin Jae-hyuk,” said Cho Min-kook.
“So, Shin Tae-yong also has to take good care of Asnawi. Shin Tae-yong I take care of your child here, you must return the favor,” he said.
“Joking… I am very proud of Shin Tae-yong because he was able to bring Indonesia to the final of the AFF Cup,” said Cho Min-kook.

Shin Jae-hyuk is one of the Ansan Greeners players and according to Transfermarkt, he only joined the club nicknamed The Green Wolves in July 2021.
Meanwhile, Asnawi Mangkualam has extended his contract with Ansan Greeners for the next two years.
Ansan Greeners also includes a transfer option for a higher level in Asnawi’s new contract.
This option may apply when Asnawi gets a better offer in the future, then Ansan Greeners can release him for a transfer fee.
