With “fire” towards Vassilis Stigas, the MP Giorgos Manoussos announced his departure from the Spartan party a little while ago, after the decision of the Supreme Court prosecutor to bring criminal proceedings against the 11 MPs who were elected with this party.
Afterwards, G. Dimitrokallis was also disqualified, thus leaving the Spartans party’s KO with only 8 MPs.
It is recalled that a criminal prosecution was brought by the prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Georgia Adelini, against 11 MPs who were elected with the Spartan party, except for its leader, Vasilios Stigas. The prosecution concerns voter fraud.
The criminal prosecution will be brought to the level of a misdemeanor against: Athanasios Chalkias, Charalambos Katsivardas, Georgios Manousos, Alexandros Zerveas, Ioannis Dimitrokallis, Dionysios Valtogiannis, Georgios Aspiotis, Michael Gavgiotakis, Ioannis Kontis, Petros Dimitriadis and Konstantinos Floros.
From the prosecutor’s investigation, it emerged, according to information, that Ilias Kasidiaris was pulling the strings with the Spartans and contributed to their electoral defeat and also to the election of deputies. The prosecution against Kasidiaris as an undercover leader was based on evidence obtained from the investigation of the Supreme Court, regarding the contacts he had from the prison with candidate MPs of the Spartans as well as their guidance.
In his announcement of independence, Giorgos Manousos mentions, among other things:
“My stay in it (KO) until now had to do with my belief that the Greek judiciary would not find a single grain of credibility in these false statements, especially after the evidence I presented before it.
My morality, my attitude to life and my dignity do not allow me to continue to coexist with the man who led his parliamentary group accused of lies and slander.
