Jakarta, CNNIndonesia —
A group of volunteers Ganjar PranowoGanjarian Spartan is grateful for the plan to disband GP Mania as another group of volunteers supporting the Governor of Central Java to run for the 2024 presidential election.
The general chairman of Ganjarian Spartan, Guntur Romli, revealed a number of reasons why his party was happy with the dissolution of GP Mania. One of them, he said, was because they were disappointed that GP Mania general chairman Immanuel Ebenezer had ever defended Munarman as a defendant in a terrorism case.
“Ganjarian Spartan Ganjar Pranowo is grateful that Immanuel Ebenezer did not support Ganjar Pranowo. Because Immanuel Ebenezer defended Munarman who was accused of terrorism and who was later proven convicted,” Guntur said to CNNIndonesia.comTuesday (7/2).
Apart from that, continued Guntur, his party was also not happy with the GP Mania group because it often made statements that pitted Ganjar Pranowo and PDIP against each other.
“Immanuel Ebenezer often makes statements that pit Ganjar Pranowo against the PDIP circle. This attitude actually complicates Ganjar Pranowo’s position. Because Ganjar Pranowo actually has no problem with the PDIP circle,” he said.
Apart from that, according to him, the organization that Immanuel Ebenezer claimed under the name GP Mania never existed. According to him, they are only ‘changing skin’ from the name Batman Basuki Tjahaha Purnama Mania or Jokowi Mania. He also said that the group had only become Immanuel Ebenezer’s personal political toy.
“We are very grateful that Immanuel Ebenezer did not support Ganjar Pranowo because of this ‘historical flaw’,” he said.
The volunteer group Ganjar Pranowo (GP) Mania announced the dissolution of the organization ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
General Chairperson of GP Mania Immanuel Ebenezer, who is also Jokowi’s volunteer in the 2019 Presidential Election, said the disbandment would be carried out officially on Thursday (9/2) in Jakarta. They will hold a press conference.
Immanuel was reluctant to reveal the reason for the disbandment. He also did not want to reveal the direction of the group’s support after he stopped supporting Ganjar Pranowo.
“No, 100 percent don’t support Ganjar anymore,” said Immanuel when contacted CNNIndonesia.comTuesday (7/2).
Meanwhile regarding the accusations from Guntur Romli or Ganjarian Spartan, CNNIndonesia.com Haven’t received a statement from Immanuel yet.
