Spartan Hockey Player Guilty of Illegal Hits and Penalties in Recent Matches

A Spartan hockey player was guilty in a game on the ice of Hradec Králové. He received a two-minute penalty for a shoulder tackle on striker Radek Pilař at the end of the second period, and will now miss Sparta’s match against Karlovy Vary and Tuesday in Mladá Boleslav. Prague won Friday’s match, in which they spent 20 minutes on the penalty bench (and the home players 12), winning 3:2 after raids.

Already in the first period of the duel with České Budějovice, Hrehorčák hit striker Filip Přikryl illegally. He was also expelled for the intervention. The visitors made it 2-0 with a power play, but in the end the Steelers won the match 4-3 in overtime. The championship team will miss the Slovak player in today’s match in Pardubice and on Tuesday in the home duel with Kometa Brno.

Karlovy Vary forward Jan Hladonik also earned an additional penalty in Friday’s program. Ujčík fined him 10 percent of the basic monthly salary for the filmed fall in the match with Pardubice. Already in the match, Hladonik had to go to the penalty bench for this, his team conceded in a weakened state, and the opponent thereby started a turnaround from 0:3 to a 4:3 victory in overtime.
