The final point of the first round of the FORTUNA=LIGA was the match between Pardubice and Sparta Prague. The Letenské selection came to the east of the Czech Republic as a big favorite, but in the first half it was difficult to find the key to the opponent’s defense.
Although Michaela Khýrová asserted herself right from the beginning with her emphasis, that was all in the first act of the goal performance. The women from Prague had many chances, but they were troubled by the end or the great catching goalkeeper Eliška Krejčí.
Even in the second half, the game was played more in front of the gingerbread goal, but Sparta could not gain a foothold for a long time, until in the 57th Petra Bertholdová stretched and opened the net. Soon after came more accurate shots of the flight team, Kateřina Kotrčová made it 3:0 after a corner kick, captain Aneta Dědinová also scored. In the end, Bertholdová gave the final form of the result with the second hit of the match.
“This is an acceptable result for us. We tried to condense the middle of the pitch and make Sparta’s finish as difficult as possible. Nevertheless, the quality of the opponent’s team is great, so the players were getting chances, but Eliška Krejčí caught brilliantly and kept us. We are sorry that we did not take care of standard situations in the second half and conceded such stupid goals.” Pardubice coach Kamil Kozák evaluated the match.
Sparta coach Pavol Gregora also added his view. “We are satisfied with some things, but unfortunately not with some. We have to convert chances, we want to improve in better use of the outer spaces, so that the backs are more active and even more direct.”

In the next round, Sparta will welcome Lokomotiv Brno to Prosek on Saturday, Slavia will challenge Pardubice and FC Praha will come to Pilsen. On Sunday, there will be a match between Slovácko and Liberec in Uherské Hradiště.
