Sparta Rotterdam has contracted Luuk Admiraal. The 21-year-old striker makes the transfer-free transfer from Excelsior, which rented him out to Spakenburg last season.
As a striker for ASWH, he made the top transfer to Excelsior in the summer of 2021. He eventually played one Eredivisie match for the Rotterdam club, after which he was rented out to Spakenburg.
He turned out to be an important link in the Second Division club. He scored twelve league goals and made a major contribution to Spakenburg’s cup fairy tale. Admiraal scored in the memorable victory over FC Utrecht (1-4), which eventually saw the club reach the semi-finals. PSV was too strong in that.
Admiraal’s contract with Excelsior expired, so that Sparta could take him on a free transfer. He initially starts at Jong Sparta, which plays its matches in the Second Division. Admiral signs a two-year contract, with an option for one more year.
