Sparta Prague, Slavia Prague, and Liverpool in European League Final Round 6 Result News

BRATISLAVA. The players of Sparta Prague, in the lineup with Slovak representative Lukáš Haraslín, won the match of the final 6th round of Group C of the European League at the Arisu Limassol field 3:1.

They took second place in the table and will appear in the play-offs for the round of 16 in the spring.

Glasgow Rangers qualified directly among the top 16 teams of the competition, the first place in the group was secured by a 3-2 victory over Betis Sevilla, who will continue in the play-offs for the round of 16 of the European Conference League in the spring.

Slavia stayed ahead of AS Rím

Thanks to the victory, Slavia maintained a two-point lead over AS Rím, who defeated Šeriff Tiraspoľ 3:0. The Italian team made it to the next stage from second place, and will fight for promotion to the top 16 in the round of 16.

Geneva took 3rd place and will move from the European League to the European Conference League, in which the round of 16 awaits them. For Tiraspoľ, the performance in the European Cup has ended.

Liverpool hesitated without support

Liverpool FC lost 1:2 at Real Union Saint-Gilloise without several players from the starting line-up, but despite the second loss of points, they remained on the top of Group E.

He already had a certain one before the final fights. The second place was taken by the French Toulouse, who said goodbye to the group stage with a 2:1 victory at LASK Linz.

In Group H, Leverkusen confirmed its sovereignty, crushing Molde 5:1. He advanced to the round of 16 without losing a point, the Norwegian team will continue in the EKL.

The players of Karabakh advanced from the second place in the “hook”, who managed to beat the weakest team of the group BK Häcken 2:1 on Thursday.

In the F-group, the advancers were already decided before the final matches, only the ranking at the top of the group remained questionable.

The latter graduated in a direct fight for first place, in which Villarreal CF triumphed at Stade Rennes 3:2 and advanced directly to the round of 16.

The home team was not far from a draw that would have guaranteed them victory in the group, but Lorenzo Assignon’s equalizing goal at the end of extra time was disallowed by the referee after the intervention of VAR for offside.

Ajax secured at least the Conference League

Ajax Amsterdam defeated AEK Athens 3:1 and relegated the Greek opponent to the last fourth place in the B-group table, thanks to which the famous Dutch club secured at least a place in the play-offs for the round of 16 of the European Conference League.

The group was won by Brighton, who defeated Olympique Marseille 1:0 in a duel for first place. Joao Pedro decided in the 88th minute.

The battle for the first place in Group A was won by the reigning winner of the European Conference League, West Ham United, who beat Freiburg 2-0 and advanced directly to the round of 16.

The German team took the second position and will appear in the play-off for the EL round of 16.
