Sparta – Pardubice 5: 2, Sparta pulls to second place in the standings

Asger Sörensen gave the home team the lead in the eighth minute, Dominik Janošek equalized a moment later. Also in the first half Jan Kuchta scored for the home team. After an hour of play, added Lukáš Sadílek, then only the substitutes scored. Vojtěch Sychra scored for the visitors, but Spartan Martin Minčev and Tomáš Wiesner scored in under two minutes. Sparta did not lose against Pardubice even in the fifth league game, winning for the fourth time.

Captain Ladislav Krejčí Jr. had disappeared from Prague due to muscle problems. In the sixth minute, Spartan midfielder Jankto shot from behind the goal into the side net. In less than two minutes, the home team was already overjoyed by the Danish collaboration. Höjer crosses into the box and Sörensen opens the scoring with a header and the third goal of the season in the top flight. With his seventh assist, winger Höjer has solidified his position as the leader of the top scorers in the current league.

At the end of the 14th minute, the East Bohemians equalized. Zahradníček finds Janošek in the box, leans on the ball and scores the first goal of the league season with an elusive shot in the upper corner of Kovář’s goal. The 24-year-old midfielder made his debut in the top competition in May 2019.

After 24 minutes the injured Jankto was replaced by Karabec. It was he who, shortly after arriving on the pitch, sent the ball to Haraslín with a penetrating pass, which found Kuchta better positioned. The Czech representative closed with an empty net and was among the scorers of the third consecutive round.

On 35 minutes, Pardubice midfielder Hlavatý hit the crossbar from distance and Kuchta, in turn, headed goalkeeper Markovič from close range.

Coach Priske’s men increased their lead after an hour of play after Sadílko’s precise shot against the post in front of the penalty area. The home midfielder scored for the second time in the league.

After that, Markovič fails and Kucht’s quick lob from the turn is stopped by the crossbar. Immediately the former Slavic striker ran alone to the goal, but he shot up.

In an instant he regretted the missed opportunities, because after less than a minute on the pitch, Sychra lowered a successful volley from the volley at the far post. He scored his second league success. As the team with the worst attack in the league, Pardubice only scored the eighth goal.

Between the 72nd and the 73rd minute, however, the home team cheered twice. First Minčev heads Sadílk’s cross, then the Bulgarian striker serves the ball in front of the goal to Wiesner’s goal. Both Spartans coming off the bench scored their first goal of the season in the top flight. Sparta have won nine times in the last two rounds, however, the East Bohemians have the weakest defense in the league with 33 goals conceded.

Markovič then takes Kucht’s header to the corner and on the other side substitute Lim misses shortly after a breakaway. Pardubice have lost their sixth game of the season away in the league, they were the only team not to score there and they are the worst team in the competition there.
