Technical director Henk van Stee of Sparta Rotterdam does not have a good word for the clubs in the Eredivisie who want the season to stop immediately because of the corona crisis. He joins the KNVB to wait with a decision.
“I can hardly bear it, all those clubs that are now telling you that the competition must end immediately. Why the hell all those own interests? We are all in the same misery as clubs, so go on together!”, Van Stee says to it on Saturday AD.
The Eredivisionists are quite divided about the end of this season. Ajax, AZ and PSV, among others, have said in clear terms that a point must be put behind this season, while Feyenoord, for example, would like to continue playing football where possible.
