After last season, you should have decided what to do next in Sparta. How did it go?
Is it true. A year ago I already expected that it would be my last year away from Sparta and then it would be up to her or not. I started training in Sparta and I think I did quite well. Even coach Priske praised me for being physically well prepared. The preparation gave me a lot. I was training but he still didn’t know what I was up to. Whether I will go on a transfer, on loan, or stay. Before leaving for the training camp, the situation was resolved by choosing the hosting option in Liberec.
Dominik Plechatý, who received permission from Sparta to prepare with our team, will also take part in the match. His further work in Liberec is being negotiated. pic.twitter.com/1KBhOSxkrO

Are you sorry that Sparta didn’t come out again?
I believed I could make it there and get a chance. For me, Sparta is the most in the Czech Republic, so I would like to be there, that’s clear. But when I talked with coach Prisk, he said that it would be better for my development if I went somewhere on loan, because I wouldn’t get as many minutes in Sparta as in Liberec. I took it completely cool. It’s nice to be in Sparta, but not just sitting on the bench in quotes. It’s important for me to play at this age. And again in a year it will be clear whether it will be at Sparta or not.
How do you perceive the fact that Letenští have now bought Gomez as a stopper?
I was a bit expecting that they would bring in a stopper, because Čelda (Čelůstka) left and Viťas (Vitík) is also interested. I have already played two seasons in Liberec, now I am going into the third and I am glad that the loan ended up here.
“I wanted a lot for Dominik Plechatý to continue here, he is an important player for me. He is a slightly different defender than the others, he gives speed and dynamism there, he knows how to go out and support the offensive phase.” Liberec coach Luboš Kozel
Could you have done more at all last season? You played almost everything for Liberec, except for two matches against Sparta. You were Slovan’s busiest player and he played the end of the season as captain.
You can always do more, but when you’re on the pitch, you always want to get the most out of yourself and win. But I’m certainly satisfied from a personal point of view, I played everything and I have to take the season positively. I even worked out a position in Liberec. When I was in Sparta, coach Kozle and I were often in contact if there was anything new. First the transfer was dealt with, then it ended with the loan. I would also rather be a Liberec player, but the coach told me that my position would not change anyway. I was on loan and he was the captain anyway. It would be difficult for me to go anywhere else in the Czech league but here.
Matěj Chaluš, whom you know very well, has returned to Liberec. Did you have to play with him at all?
That’s right, we know each other. We played a lot together in the national team and here under coach Kozlo. People generally praised us for knowing each other and being well-coordinated. I hope we can build on that and the defense will fit in the same way as before.
On the other hand, Victor Olatunji transferred to Sparta. How much will he miss?
I must say that he helped us a lot in the spring, but at the beginning it took him a while to get used to the pace of the league and to adapt. Then he helped us a lot in the matches, but I think new guys have come and they can definitely replace him.
