Helga Blum, the manager of the Aura village shop, received 450 signatures within a week in her 950-inhabitant village for her petition to preserve the local Sparkasse branch. According to the SPD member of the Bundestag, Bernd Rtzel, the SPD faction in the Main-Spessart district council is now showing solidarity with her and the Sinngrund mayors, who are protesting against the wave of closings at the Sparkasse in Main-Spessart.
