Vassilis Spanoulis returns on Friday to OAKA, as an opponent of Ergin Ataman! The legendary agreement of the Federal coach with Monaco was formalized today and the 42-year-old technician will coach the Principality’s team against the two “eternals” in a four-day period: on Friday against Panathinaikos in Athens and next Wednesday against Olympiakos in Monte Carlo.
Coached by Saša Obradović, Monaco recorded 7 wins and 4 losses in the Euroleague. In addition to MVP Mike James, two former captains of the “greens”, Giorgos Papagiannis and Nick Kalathis, who, however, are facing an injury problem and have not played yet, joined their team this year.
The 42-year-old Spanoulis’ contract with Monaco will have a duration of 2+1 years and provides for a special permit so that “Span” will also remain at the helm of the Greek National Team, which he will coach at EuroBasket 2025.
