Madrid: Football player Gerard Pique will retire from football with Barcelona’s next La Liga match. Pique’s decision to retire was announced via social media. Pique has announced that Barcelona’s match against Almeria at Camp Nou on 6 November will be his last match.
Pique only played in three games during the La Liga season. The 35-year-old Pique was part of the Spanish national team from 2009 to 2018. He has scored five goals in 102 games. He played for Manchester United and Real Zaragoza from 2004 to 2008. He arrived in Barcelona in 2008. Pique played for Barcelona as a central defender.
Barcelona are currently in second place in La Liga. Barcelona advance with 10 wins in 12 games. Real Madrid are in first place with 32 points from 12 games.
