MANCHESTER – Spanish footballer Aymeric Laporte transferred from Manchester City to Saudi Arabian Al-Nassr for 30 million euros. The twenty-nine-year-old defender will become a teammate of star Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane or Alex Telles.
Laporte joined City in 2018 and made 180 appearances for the team. He won thirteen trophies with him, including a triumph in the Champions League and five in the highest English competition. However, coach Pep Guardiola did not count on him in the past meetings, he was not even on the roster in Saturday’s duel against Newcastle (1:0). His place in the team was significantly threatened by the arrival of the Croatian stopper Joško Guardiola.
