New York, Feb. 19 Spanish fashion takes over FashionLAB Market, a fair for fashion buyers that opened its doors this Sunday in the New York neighborhood of Hudson Yards.
In this sixth edition, which will be held until February 22, fashion “made in Spain” or made in Spain, accounts for more than 40% of the designers, followed by Italian firms (27%), and Americans (17%). .
In total, 25 brands are participating with their autumn/winter 2023 collections.
Some of the participating Spanish brands are classic firms such as Sita Murt, Yerse or Escorpión. As well as more recent firms such as Siyu, Clo Madrid, Sea People or Imiloa.
Anna Giralt, founder and director of FashionLAB Market, assures that the way of buying and interacting with buyers has changed.
“Our clients look for exclusive collections and prefer to do so in an intimate and ‘high-end’ (high-quality) environment instead of in a macro-fair with countless brands that have nothing to do with one another,” Giralt points out in a release.
According to the projections of the organizers of the event, the fair will visit “more than 200 buyers from multi-brand stores and large groups, such as Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Rent the Runway and Liverpool”. EFE
