Aston Villa Officially got a new player. Former target Manchester United recruited.
Is Pau Torres who officially joined Aston Villa. The Spanish defender was recruited from Villarreal for an undisclosed amount, although reports circulating say The Villa paid him 32.5 million pounds (Rp. 631.3 billion) plus a bonus of 5 million pounds (Rp. 97 billion).
Pau Torres formidable Spanish defender. He has become a mainstay of Villarreal in the last six seasons.
The player, who also graduated from the Villarreal academy, already has a record of 173 appearances and scored 12 goals. He helped The Yellow Submarine win the 2020/2021 Europa League.
Slick performance Pau Torres also drove him to Spanish national team. The defender with a stature of 191 cm has 23 caps with La Furia Roja.
Pau Torres has been the target of many giants since last season. Barcelona and Manchester United was aiming for it.
The Red Devils even claimed to have almost got it last year. However, MU finally chose to recruit Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane.
From Aston Villa, Pau Torres claimed to be a target player Unai Emery. He became the second important recruit, having previously been able to bring in Youri Tielemans.
