Laporte’s statements, published by the Spanish newspaper “AS”, were as follows: “Moving to live in Saudi Arabia? It is a big change compared to Europe, but in the end it is all about adaptation. They did not make it easy for us. In fact, there are many players who are dissatisfied, but “We are working on it every day, negotiating so to speak, and seeing if it will improve a little bit because this is something new for them as well, where they have European players who have already had a long career, maybe they are not used to it and they have to adapt to being more serious.” .
He added: “In daily life, they take everything lightly. The ultimatum you give them does not matter to them. You negotiate something and then they do not accept it after signing it. It is a bit annoying that I did not find in Europe.”
He continued: “I speak from my own experience and I do not know what the experience of others is like.”
He continued: “Yes, they take care of us, but not enough for me. This means that in Europe they pay you a good salary, but they take care of you better.”
Laporte continued: “No, I did not think about leaving, but let’s see, but if you feel disappointed in such a short time, you wonder what to do. That moment has not come yet, but it may come in the future if this dynamic continues.”
He added: “To be honest, many of us came here not only for football. Many of us are happy about that, but I am also looking for something beyond that. In terms of quality of life, I expected something different.”
He added: “Traffic is the most negative point in Riyadh. I spend 3 hours in the car every day. The shopping centers here are amazing and they have a lot of things for children, but if you have to go somewhere and you have to spend an hour and a half in the car, you don’t even want to go.” to there”.
Laporte concluded his statements: “I am performing well in Saudi Arabia, and I am pushing myself to the maximum to reach the national team in the best conditions to compete and show that I still maintain my position, which I hope will remain so for many years.”
