Spanish trained in Atl. Madrid arrive on loan from Turkish club
Central Javi Montero will reinforce Arouca. The information was initially advanced by the journalist Fabrizio Romano and meanwhile confirmed by Record. The Spanish defender arrives on loan from Besiktas, in a deal that includes a purchase option.
Formed at Atlético Madrid, it was under the command of Diego Simeone that the 24-year-old central defender made his debut for the main squad in 2018/19, playing 14 games, two of them in the Champions League.
Then followed loans to Deportivo and Besiktas, the club that would end up signing him permanently for 2021/22. Last season, the Spaniard lost space and made just four appearances for the Turkish team, being loaned to Hamburg, Germany, in the second half of the season, but also without great success.
In Arouca, Javi Montero will try to find his best level again and joins Jerome Opoku, Galovic, Matías Rochas and Rafael Fernandes as options for the central defense.
