The Spanish Civil Guard has suspended the activities of a paramilitary group with “Nazi ideology,” a law enforcement press release said.
According to their information, the police detained 11 members of the group in different provinces of the country, and an investigation was launched against another 11 people. Those arrested are suspected of, among other things, insulting state institutions, assault, illegal possession of weapons, incitement to hatred, discrimination and violence against different groups.
It is noted that during the raids, the Civil Guard seized ten firearms and more than 9,000 rounds of ammunition. The investigation began in November 2021, when law enforcement officials discovered how one of the group’s leaders posted videos on the Internet that promoted hatred against various groups. In addition, there were reports of the need to create an “army” to “put an end to the established regime” in Spain. The detainees also called on their followers to “arm themselves”.
