Spanish Championship: Xavi confirms Ter Stegen’s absence from the Rayo Vallecano match

“Mark will not be able to participate tomorrow, and we have full confidence in Iñaki Peña, who is 100 percent ready,” Xavi said in a press conference on Friday.

Peña (24 years old) is a product of the club’s academy and has previously played 5 matches for Barcelona’s first team.

The Catalan club suffered losses in its last two matches against Rayo, and is currently four points behind Girona, the leader of the standings and the surprise of the current season.
