VALENCIA (EFECOM). The financing granted by Spanish banks to companies decreased by 3.51% year-on-year until last November, the same as that provided to households, which fell by 2.54% compared to the same month in 2022.
In this way, and according to data published this Tuesday by the Bank of Spain, the credit portfolio of companies stood at 921,924 million euros at the end of November, while that of households totaled 693,076 million.
Compared to the previous month, the credit granted to families increased by 1.5%, which is equivalent to 10,117 million euros and breaks the negative trend that has been maintained month after month since June, when the credit “stock” in force It also grew by around 10 billion euros.
In the case of financing for companies, it also decreased compared to the month of October, but only by 0.11%, according to these data. Credit to companies has been decreasing month by month throughout 2023, except in March, June and July.
