A Spanish aid worker was killed when a missile hit the vehicle she was in in Ukraine, Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares said on Sunday.
“Unfortunately, I can confirm that a missile hit the vehicle in which this Spanish worker who was working for a humanitarian NGO in Ukraine was traveling. We have verbal confirmation of her death,” Albares told reporters in India , where he participated in the G20 meeting.
Mr. Albares did not give the name of the aid worker.
A Canadian aid worker was also killed in Saturday’s attack in Chasiv Yar, in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine, according to authorities.
