Spanish actress Veronica Forqué, who played the famous character “Kika” in director Pedro Almodovar’s film of the same name, has died. Her body was found Monday at her home in Madrid. That has been announced by the police.

The 66-year-old actress, one of Spain’s most popular movie stars in the 1980s and 1990s, “committed suicide at her home in Madrid,” the police source said, without giving further details.
“Farewell Veronica Forque. I worked with her a few years ago and I remember her as a sweet, witty woman and a very good acting partner. RIP,” actor Antonio Banderas tweeted shortly after announcing her death.
Forqué was born in Madrid in 1955 as the daughter of José Maria Forqué and writer Carmen Vazquez-Vigo.
