The Spanish actor Gabriel Guevara has been arrested in Venice (northern Italy) for a crime of “sexual abuse” that occurred in France, Italian police sources confirmed today to EFE.
The arrest of Guevara, 22, occurred last Saturday, in compliance with an international arrest warrant for events that occurred in France, the sources said, without specifying when the crime was committed.
Now, the actor will go to court pending the decisions that are adopted in this regard, they added.
This Sunday, the Venice Festival disassociated itself from the arrest of the actor, son of the star and presenter Marlene Mourreau.
“Regarding the press reports that have appeared in some places in these hours, regarding the arrest in Venice of the Spanish actor Gabriel Guevara, the Biennale specifies that his presence in Venice was not linked to any activity or production of the 80th International Film Festival.
