Madrid, May 21 (EFE) .- The NBA launches the “That’s Game” campaign on the occasion of the start of the ‘playoffs’, and which will continue in the next season, the 75th season of the competition, recalling key moments within the court and the impact of basketball outside of it in which Aron Piper, actor and singer, gives the voice.
This “shows how the NBA has developed this sport, has increased its community and impacted the culture throughout the history of the league,” says the competition itself in a statement.
“That’s Game” will launch a series of four television commercials voiced by actor, director and musician Idris Elba, winner of the Golden Globe and SAG Award, and will feature an Original Soundtrack composed by Oscar-winning producer Jon Batiste. The prestigious director Emmanuel Adjei (“Black is King” and “Dark Ballet”) has directed the announcements, which will be broadcast worldwide in 15 languages.
A selection of markets will feature local personalities announcing the campaign. In Spain, the actor and musician Aron Piper will narrate the campaign in Spanish.
The initial announcement relives momentous moments that have inspired fan communities around the world, including the lifting of the champion trophy, the draft of a player allowing him to achieve his dreams of playing in the NBA, making claims with messages on the jerseys before match matches, standing up in favor of a movement for social justice and other moments bigger than basketball itself.
