VALENCIA, 23 Feb. (OTR/PRESS) –

The Generalitat has declared official mourning for three days for the victims of the fire in residential buildings in the Campanar neighborhood of the city of Valencia, as stated in the decree published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV).

The Consell expresses its pain and wishes to make public its condolences and solidarity with all the people affected by an event that has deeply moved the entire Valencian society.

As established in the decree signed by the ‘president’ of the Generalitat, the official flags will fly at half-mast outside the public buildings of the Generalitat as a sign of respect, condolences and mourning, and all institutions are invited to Valencians to support this measure.

At this time, when the extinction work is still continuing, the Consell considers it “necessary to recognize and thank the great efforts of the public emergency, civil protection and health services, as well as the people and entities that, selflessly, are collaborating in care for victims.
