Spain’s ships are joining NATO naval forces in the Mediterranean and Black Seas due to tensions in the region caused by a Russian troop buildup on the border with Ukraine. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of the country Margarita Roblis, writes Reuters.
According to her, the minesweeper is already on the way, and the frigate will leave within three to four days.
It is noted that the possibility of sending fighters to Bulgaria is also being considered.
“Russia cannot tell any country what to do, so NATO will protect and uphold the sovereignty of any state that can or wants to join NATO,” the Spanish defense minister said.
Recall Canada sent a frigate to the Black Sea.
Ukraine and Denmark will build multi-purpose ships
